SW Roofing & Property Maintenance is run by Samuel Wildman from the BB8 0JP area, working across East Lancashire and across Yorkshire.
Most of the work is for homeowners and landlords with older stone and slate property: the Victorian terraces, hillside cottages and mill-era housing that fill towns like Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Blackburn and Accrington, and the gritstone property over the tops in Skipton, Keighley, Bradford and Halifax.
The speciality is roofing and repointing. Slipped slates and leaks traced back to their real source; full strip-and-recover re-roofs with new membrane, treated battens and correctly bedded ridges; ridge and verge repointing; chimney stacks repointed, re-flaunched and re-flashed; leadwork dressed properly at valleys and abutments; flat roofs, guttering and moss removal alongside it.
General property maintenance sits behind the roofing: exterior timber, sealing, rainwater goods, minor masonry and the smaller jobs most firms will not turn out for. It is the same fixed-price approach, just on a smaller scale.
Samuel has more than 10 years of hands-on experience, six of those with a local roofing company before starting SW Roofing. That decade has been spent almost entirely on exposed Pennine property, which is exactly the kind of roof that punishes shortcuts. Jobs are carried out by Samuel with one regular worker, and trusted trades are only brought in on larger projects.

Stone slate matched on gauge, lead used where lead belongs instead of a mortar fillet, ridges bedded to a sound base or mechanically fixed where the exposure calls for it.
Honest about what does not need doing
If a repointing job will get you another fifteen years, that is what you will be told, not a re-roof quote. Overselling wins one payment and loses every recommendation that would have followed.
